Why the name You Are Loved?
The name You Are Loved came about because I wanted a way to express the love I have for my three children. When I was pregnant with my third child I was navigating the paradox and complexities of parenting after loss. My second daughter was stillborn at 36 weeks — one of the darkest periods of my life. Through therapy and the grace of God I pulled through.
I spend a lot of my time volunteering as a befriender, providing safe spaces for mums to remember their babies. Through this work a passion was born: to share my story and to remind us all that we are loved — by God, by family and friends, and by ourselves. We love our children, those who are with us and those who are not.
How we began — the love of candles and flowers
I love flowers and I love candles. I love the calming effect and the way a scent warms a home when a candle is lit. Flowers are beautiful and remind me of how amazing God is. I’m also a fan of customised gifts — whenever I can I personalise presents to show someone, I see you. I love you. I’m here for you.
These elements — scent, beauty, and personal care — drive everything we create. Our products are designed to help people remember they are loved, and to help them pass that feeling on to others. Ultimately, we make things that point back to the greatest truth we know: we are all loved by our Creator.
